Picnic at Hanging Rock

One of my favorite movies of all time is Picnic at Hanging Rock. I have only seen it once, back in college, but its mysteriousness has stuck with me. Because of this movie, I became quite the Peter Weir fan and Australia jumped onto my bucket list of places to visit. That original movie is haunting and visually interesting.

I just watched the first episode of Amazon’s new miniseries remake and even though the story is more detailed (than I remember), the strange mystery and interesting visuals are still there. Natalie Dormer as Hester Appleyard is particularly good. I’m intrigued about what will happen in the next 5 episodes of the miniseries.

On Amazon Prime Video.
