On the Basis of Sex

Ruth Bader Ginsburg is a hero of mine. I have an RBG action figure that watches over me as I work. My cat is named RBG (RB for short). I loved last year’s documentary RBG. So I was highly anticipating the fictionalized version of her life, On the Basis of Sex. Despite being a fairly typical biopic, I still loved it. There were things that I thought could have been done better but ultimately, the story is fierce and focused, just like Ginsburg herself. Felicity Jones is great as RBG and Armie Hammer demonstrates an easy grace as her husband, Martin. Even if you know nothing about RBG, or maybe especially if you know nothing about her, I recommend that you see this movie.
