Fighting With My Family

This movie was an unexpected surprise! Based on the true story of professional wrestler Paige, the movie chronicles Saraya Bevis’ rise from wrestling in the World Association of Wrestling, a promotion created by her professional wrestler parents in Norwich, England, to winning the Divas Cup in the WWE. The characters in the movie are likable and quirky and they learn the kinds of lessons that characters learn in movies “based on” true stories. But this one was particularly well-done. It was written and directed by Stephen Merchant who I always enjoy. He has a funny bit part in the movie as well. Florence Pugh is excellent as Paige. I definitely recommend this one for a feel good, not too deep movie, great for a Saturday afternoon in early March!
